Why Summit Evaluation Services?

Summit Schools have a long tradition of serving the needs of diverse populations in their preschool, elementary school, tutoring program and summer camps. All Summit teachers and tutors are trained and experienced in meeting the needs of children with learning challenges such as dyslexia. The Summit Evaluation Service is a vital component in our efforts to offer the best possible services for children.

Currently, the public school systems in Iowa offer limited individually administered norm-referenced, diagnostic and prescriptive assessment services to children. Children whose needs are less severe are less likely to be evaluated, but identifying areas of need is critical to designing remedial / differentiated instruction.

Many families are unable to access assessment for their children’s academic needs because their medical insurance does not cover or only partially covers academic assessment. Summit Schools offer these services as an affordable alternative to those whose medical insurance does not provide coverage.
